GLOBAL EXPERTISE IN KNEE PRESERVATION

“My particular interest is in knee preservation – restoring function to the knee, where possible with minimal intervention. In many cases we can delay, or even avoid, the need for knee replacement surgery.”
Professor Adrian Wilson

Knee alignment, or osteotomy surgery, is when misshapen bone – usually the shin bone – is cut and realigned so that your body weight is distributed evenly through the knee joint.

During the course of his 25-year career, Adrian has carried out over 500 knee realignment procedures (osteotomies) and, within his team, has data on the results of over 1,000 procedures, the biggest series of its kind in the world. He has developed a number of minimally invasive surgical techniques for this type of surgery which are increasingly being performed by other surgeons.
